About the Gilroy Fire Department
The Gilroy Fire Department provides all-hazards emergency response, advanced life support first response, fire prevention, community risk reduction, emergency preparedness, and regional mutual-aid service to the Gilroy community.
Our role
Gilroy firefighters respond to medical emergencies, structure and vegetation fires, traffic collisions, hazardous conditions, rescues, public-service calls, and major emergencies. The department also supports regional and statewide response through automatic aid, mutual aid, and California mutual-aid deployments.
