A new national system, used carefully
Common dates
Every department is compared over February 1 through April 30, 2026, the shared period available across all selected departments.
Minimum means minimum
Only documented guaranteed daily staffing is shown. Relief personnel, overtime companies, seasonal units and conditionally staffed apparatus are excluded.
Department size
Population figures are rounded planning estimates. City population is used for municipal departments; regional service population is used where noted. Contract and aid areas may differ.
No false precision
When a staffing or deployment figure cannot be verified from a current authoritative source, the page says “Not verified” instead of estimating it.
